We are seeking a proactive and driven Fundraising Volunteer (Grants & Philanthropy) to join our team. We work to ensure that women experiencing domestic abuse can access innovative, high-quality legal representation—support that is often out of reach for many victims. Our mission is to remove barriers, promote justice, and empower women by providing pathways to safety, legal support, and long-term stability. As we grow, fundraising is essential to helping us expand our services, develop innovative programmes, and collaborate with partners who share our vision. ________________________________________ Strengthening Hope and Justice CIC Through Strategic Fundraising To ensure we can reach more women in need, Hope and Justice CIC is committed to building a sustainable fundraising strategy that includes: ● Securing grants from trusts, foundations, and public bodies ● Developing meaningful relationships with philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals ● Identifying innovative and ethical funding streams to support long-term organisational growth ● Building partnerships and collaborations with aligned organisations Your contribution as a volunteer will help ensure that more women in the UK can access the legal support and justice they deserve. ________________________________________ Fundraising Volunteer’s Responsibilities As a Fundraising Volunteer (Grants & Philanthropy), you will play a key role in helping us strengthen and diversify our income. Responsibilities may include: Grant Funding ● Researching and identifying suitable grants that align with our mission and activities ● Supporting the writing or preparation of online funding bids, applications, and supporting documents ● Tracking deadlines, eligibility criteria, and reporting requirements Philanthropy & High-Net-Worth Donor Engagement ● Helping to research potential high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) who align with our values and mission ● Drafting donor approaches, proposals, or partnership suggestions ● Supporting communication strategies to nurture long-term donor relationships Innovation & Income Generation ● Suggesting and exploring new fundraising opportunities, including collaborations, events, or campaigns ● Helping to identify strategic partnerships that could support or fund our work ● Contributing ideas for sustainable and ethical income streams to support the CIC General Support ● Working alongside the Founder/Directors to develop systems and processes for effective fundraising ● Helping maintain accurate records of funding activity, donors, and applications

● Strong written and verbal communication skills. ● Ability to research grants, donors, and funding opportunities. ● Good attention to detail and ability to work independently. ● Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information. ● Interest in social justice and supporting women affected by domestic violence. ● Creative and proactive approach to identifying fundraising opportunities.
● Gain hands-on experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement. ● Build skills in researching funding opportunities and crafting persuasive proposals. ● Contribute directly to improving support for women affected by domestic violence. ● Enhance your professional network by working with a purpose-driven team. ● Develop confidence and experience in the non-profit and social justice sector.
Up to 7 hours per week, with flexible hours. We would prefer the volunteer to work from home using their own equipment.
