Welcome Volunteer

V&A East

Passionate about community history? Love helping others? Want to go behind the scenes of a working museum? As a Welcome Volunteer, you’ll meet lots of different people, from neighbouring community to designers seeking inspiration for their next project. By recommending things to do and do based on their interests, and spotlighting displays that have been co-created with local people, you’ll spark their curiosity and empower them to explore.

Detailed Description

Why we want you?: V&A East is dedicated to creative opportunity and its power to bring change. As a Welcome Volunteer, you’ll get to chat with visitors, find out what they’re interested in, and suggest activities they’ll enjoy. You’ll also help share the story behind the large objects on display, celebrating all the people—from the V&A and the local community— who help care for and understand them.
