Our Time Chef

Our Time

Are you passionate about food and cooking? We are looking for an experienced cook to help us with running cooking sessions, teaching young people with SEND aged between 14-25 how to cook various recipes and give them basic cooking skills. You do NOT have to be a trained chef. The sessions will take place on one Wednesday afternoon per month, from 4:30-6pm (dates can be confirmed later).

Detailed Description

Our Time is a youth forum for young people, 14 – 25 with special educational needs and disabilities. We are based in Whitechapel and also have virtual meetings online. We play games, go on trips and do activities. We make sure that their voices are heard and they participate in activities and events that take place. You will be running a cooking session, teaching young people with SEND aged between 14-25 how to cook various recipes and give them basic cooking skills. The sessions will take place on one Wednesday afternoon per month, from 4:30-6pm (dates can be confirmed later).

Cooking/Catering

Why these skills are required

You must be experienced in cooking, but you don't have to be a trained chef. You should also be comfortable with interacting and communicating with young people with additional needs,
