Marie Curie's Community Fundraisers use their local knowledge and contacts to help raise vital funds for Marie Curie nursing care, our support line and research. Volunteering as a Community Fundraiser can include the following tasks: • Placing and emptying collection boxes in pubs, shops and other locations • Hosting collections in your area. This involves organising collector handover and fundraising materials at these collections, and banking the money raised

Volunteering as a Community Fundraiser can include the following tasks: • Placing and emptying collection boxes in pubs, shops and other locations • Hosting collections in your area. This involves organising collector handover and fundraising materials at these collections, and banking the money raised • Being the cheery face of Marie Curie. This is a great role for anyone who enjoys getting out and about in Tower Hamlets and only has a few hours/days to spare.

As a Community Fundraiser you will need: • Good people skills and to be well-organised • Self-motivation and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team • Good knowledge of your local area • A commitment to help raise money in the community. ***This role is only open to volunteers aged 18+ ***
This role provides an excellent opportunity to build on your skills in a charity environment. You will receive an induction, training, support and supervision in your role.
This role is super flexible and can vary based on your own pre-existing commitments and time. You can give as little as a couple of hours here and there to distribute, collect and bank money from collection tins. Or you can host one of our collections, which could take as little as 1 day at Christmas then 1 day in the spring.
