As a Volunteer Administrator/Receptionist, you’ll be at the heart of operations, helping to ensure the smooth running of our programs and services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and wants to support impactful work in their community. You will also be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for service users and visitors. You will answer the phone promptly and professionally, assist with general administrative tasks, and handle ad-hoc duties such as receiving and distributing mail and parcels. Additionally, you'll oversee the usage of meeting rooms, ensuring they are well-maintained and available when needed. This role offers the opportunity to be an essential part of a supportive team. Duties and responsibilities include: • Ensure a welcoming and professional environment at the Centre by greeting visitors and supporting their needs. • To answer the telephone promptly in a welcoming and professional manner. • Undertake administrative duties as required • Ad-hoc admin tasks – receive mail/parcels • Oversee meeting rooms usage • Coordinate volunteer and participant activities, such as booking spaces, organizing materials, and sending communications. • Assist in promoting events, activities, and services through emails, social media updates, and posters. • Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth delivery of activities, services, and community projects.

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Cleaning & Tidying, Good IT Skills, Organising & Planning
• Excellent skills in respect of both written and spoken English. • Basic understanding of Microsoft packages. • Have an approachable manner • Ability to work in a busy environment. • Experience working/supporting older people desirable
