Detailed Description

Our signature Frost Fair returns with a bang on Saturday 30th November! As the winter draws in, we invite you to celebrate the festive season at Cody Dock’s by joining us at our Frost Fair. Inspired by the tradition of Frost Fairs once held on the Thames, we will be inviting local artists and makers to sell their crafts. You can also expect festive workshops, seasonal games, live music, exhibitions, mulled wine & more, to really get you in the mood for the festive season. We are looking for Events stewards, Craft workshop assistants, help with setting up and tidying up on Saturday 30th November either in the morning or afternoon. Depending on the role you are interested in duties may include: ○ Supporting visitors with information about Cody Dock and volunteering opportunities. ○ Information about the event, the program, timed walks. ○ Selling postcards, way-finding. ○ Lost children & First Aid - (radio for help from event coordinator). ○ Crowd control - notice if there are 'bottlenecks' in other areas, unsupervised children, climbing on structures etc & radio for help as required. ○ Supporting the workshop leader ○ Ensure safe access to equipment ○ Keeping space clear, no trip hazards ○ Make sure all stall holders have paid their fee ○ Check that all workshops leaders have everything they need ○ Put up signage from Star Lane to Cody Dock ○ Make sure all card machines are in the right places ○ Walk around for any litter & rubbish ○ Remove decorations from the hall ○ Put tables away ○ Sweep in visitors centre ○ Sweep in outdoor classroom ○ Sweep growing space ○ Walk around to check for litter ○ Empty bins
