The View Magazine is a social enterprise campaigning platform for women in the justice system, as victims or offenders. We are looking for a volunteer manager to work within the team. This role will help us organise the many well intentioned, skilled and talented volunteers who support our causes and campaigns by giving generously of their time. The role will entail creating, identifying and managing tasks for volunteers, as well as recruiting volunteers and communicating with them to keep the workstream flowing and create more efficiency in the organisation. The volunteer manager will be responsible for upgrading and updating our existing induction process and making due diligence checks on potential volunteers, as well as clearly defining what is expected and ensuring they are meeting their own personal development goals also. The Volunteer Manager is responsible for overseeing activities assigned to volunteers and keeping track of the work produced at the end of each day. The View offers many opportunities for personal growth and development in the justice, arts and feminist sectors and we extend these opportunities to all our volunteers, if they might be interested. This includes press previews and exhibitions, theatre and music performances and conferences and events related to justice and violence against women and girls and the arts. The volunteer manager will help input, organise and monitor output of tasks and work completed, through spreadsheets, and Google drive. We use Slack as our main communication channel. The volunteer manager will assign tasks to volunteers, and oversee/arrange schedules and deadlines.
