Carib Eats are seeking a Creative Projects and Engagements Lead volunteer to oversee the development and execution of activities at our new community spaces in Dalston. Detailed Description

Carib Eats is a community-based organisation with a mission to enrich the lives of our Caribbean communities and those connected to the Black Community in London through food, culture, and connection. Our work addresses social isolation and food insecurity by offering culturally relevant meals and events in safe, welcoming spaces. We operate weekly canteens and cultural workshops, bringing people together to celebrate their heritage, share stories, and support each other. We are seeking a Creative Projects and Engagements Lead volunteer to oversee the development and execution of activities at our new community spaces in Dalston. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in creative environments, has a passion for community work, and wants to make a real impact. Key Responsibilities: ● Collaborate with the Carib Eats team to design and deliver engaging projects, events, and workshops. ● Lead creative initiatives in Caribbean culture. ● Seek partnerships. ● Help activate spaces in Dalston as community hubs, bringing people together through arts, culture, and food. ● Coordinate with local artists, musicians, and community groups to deliver workshops and events. ● Engage with the local community to ensure that activities are inclusive, welcoming, and meet their needs. ● Execute or marketing plan. What We’re Looking For: ● Passion for community work and an understanding Caribbean culture. ● Experience in creative project management, event planning, or community engagement. ● Excellent communication and organisational skills. ● Ability to work flexibly and independently. ● A positive attitude and enthusiasm for bringing people together.
