Befriender to encourage and support social activities for person with learning difficulties.
To help a person with learning difficulties who is very sociable and bubbly individual but with reduced mobility to take part in creative and social activities. To support then to take part in group activities or to socialise with them on a one to one basis - Arts and Crafts, chatting, word search, TV, Nintendo games, music.

Friendly, chatty, sociable, reliable. Some experience of people with learning difficulties would be good but not necessary as training is provided.
Meet new people and make friends. Enjoy social activities, find common interests. Share your skills and interests. Reduce isolation. Get a reference after 6 months of active volunteering.
Adapted to your availability. Between 4 to 8 hours per month. 1 or 2 times per week.
