Join the board of Hackney’s first community energy co-operative. You will engage with local residents on sustainability and green energy, and contribute to growing the community energy movement in the borough.
Banister House Solar is a co-operative run by volunteers that work with their community too build a green and affordable energy system,, and create stronger social ties. We have installed solar panels on the roofs of Banister House estate in 2015 and have over 100 members. Join the board of Hackney’s first community energy co-operative. You will engage with local residents on sustainability and green energy, and contribute to growing the community energy movement in the borough. Your role will include helping run the co-operative, and organise community energy engagement events in the local area. You will receive mentoring, training and support to do so.
