Digital Support Volunteer required for The Palace Club, at Chats Palace. We are looking for an IT confident volunteer to help support us. You will enjoy meeting and speaking with elders in Hackney and provide support and guidance around digital platforms and mobile technology.
Apply before 21/08/2024 for a project start date in late September. Chats Palace Arts Centre run a social programme for Hackney residents aged 65+. We meet every Tuesday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. As part of our programme we are introducing a local national databank, here, we will gift free mobile data provided by the National Databank and powered by The Good Things Foundation and offer digital support and advice to elder members of the community - from getting set up on with an Ipad to installing data, software and applications to operating email. This project will begin in September and we urgently require a minimum of x 2 volunteers to help support the project and individuals every Tuesday. 10:00 am to 2:pm. We are looking for IT confident volunteers to help support the launch of this project. You will enjoy meeting and speaking with elders in Hackney and provide support and guidance around digital platforms and mobile technology. We would ask you to be available on Tuesdays and keep record of all support provided and data gifted sim cards and provide general support for any other digital support needs highlighted. You may have experience working for a mobile phone company, training in IT, or a person who is confident, social, patient in helping others understand, set up and install data, systems, or software. - Social contact with elder residence. - A chance to help and guide those who may lack experience, confidence, opportunity and understanding of digital technology. - A chance to help us shape future provision in this area as we learn more about what people may need support with, and their user experience. - Opportunity to add volunteering role and responsibilities to your CV.
Either weekly or fortnightly on Tuesdays between the hours of 12:00 to 1:30 pm.

Chats Palace 42 – 44 Brooksby’s Walk Homerton London
Chats Palace is an Arts Centre on Brooksby’s Walk in Homerton. Situated very close to Homerton Hospital and Chatsworth Road. Homerton overground station is a short walk from our building, and buses stopping near by the centre include W15, 242, 276, and 394.
