We are looking for women who are keen to develop connections within their community, develop skills in working with English Learners, migrants & refugees by being part of our Organising Team. The Organising Team is responsible for supporting and facilitating our Saturday sessions for participants.
Xenia is an Ancient Greek word and concept of a hospitality based in generosity and reciprocity - particularly towards strangers. Since its founding in 2016 Xenia has welcomed hundreds of women from over 86 countries. Every Saturday for the past 7 years Xenia has created a safe space for participants to come together, practise their English in an informal setting, make lasting friends and contribute to a unique community - where everyone has something to learn and everyone has something to teach. We are currently recruiting for new volunteers for our Organising Team. Join our team! Requirements: This is good opportunity for anyone with an interest in developing facilitator skills and an interest in non traditional learning environments. We are looking for women with a gentle and open approach to communication; an inter-est in other cultures and languages; aligning with Xenia’s core value: everyone has some-thing to teach, everyone has something to learn; experience of living in another country/coming from another country. An interest in women’s centric issues, migration and community organising is encouraged. It is a benefit if you have experience working with a charity or a second language is a benefit but neither is essential.

We require a minimum commitment of x1 (2hr) session a month per month OR 6 hrs per quarter (every 4 months)
