Help raise vital funds for Marie Curie by coordinating local fundraising collections in your community. It's a flexible role that's perfect for someone organised, friendly and passionate about making a difference for people living with a terminal illness and their families.
As a Collection Host Volunteer, you'll be the local point of contact for Marie Curie's fundraising collections, helping to organise successful collection days in supermarkets, garden centres, town centres and other community venues. You'll support volunteer collectors, coordinate rotas, liaise with venues and help ensure collections run smoothly from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building local relationships and making a difference in their community. You'll receive training and ongoing support, and you'll be part of a wider team of volunteers helping to raise awareness and funds for Marie Curie's vital work. Every collection you help organise will raise vital funds that help Marie Curie provide expert care, practical support and compassionate guidance to people living with a terminal illness and those closest to them. By giving your time, you'll help ensure more families can access the care and support they need during some of the toughest moments in life.

You don't need previous fundraising experience to join us. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy meeting people, are organised and dependable, and are passionate about making a difference in their community. If you're comfortable using email, coordinating with others and acting as a friendly local ambassador for Marie Curie, we'd love to hear from you. Full training and support will be provided.
You'll play a direct role in helping people receive expert care and support at the end of life. You'll be the friendly face of Marie Curie in your community, bringing people together for a cause that matters. Along the way, you'll meet like-minded people, develop new skills, receive ongoing training and support, and experience the satisfaction of knowing your time is making a genuine difference to local families.
This is a flexible role that can fit around your availability. We would particularly value your support during our two major fundraising campaigns each year: the Great Daffodil Appeal (February to March) and our Christmas campaign (November to December). During these busy periods, we typically ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one collection day. Outside of these campaigns, opportunities are flexible and we will work with you to identify dates and activities that fit around your other commitments wherever possible.

This role has no fixed address and takes place within the local community. We are particularly looking for volunteers in Richmond upon Thames, although opportunities may be available in surrounding areas. Collection dates and locations can be arranged flexibly to suit volunteer availability.
