River Thames Boat Project

Could you be a Trustee of River Thames Boat Project (RTBP) and be a major part of the charity in their exciting next phase of growth ?

Detailed Description

The River Thames Boat Project is a charity, whose aim is to provide access to the River Thames for those who may not otherwise be able to access it.. Running for over 35 years, the charity uses its two specially-adapted boats to deiver two programmes: 1) cruises for elderly and isolated people and those of all ages with disabilities and 2) envirobemetal education days for promary-age children. The boats are based in Kingston and Teddington. We have recently secured a riverside home for our boats and our work by Canbury Gardens. RTBP is looking to recruit some new Trustees. Trustees develop policy and steer the professional staff and 70+ volunteers to implement the range of services provided to the community. Ideally, RTBP is looking for – · a specialist with experience in the field of marketing and fundraising to steer this aspect of our work. A professional qualification in the fields would be ideal but hands on experience with these skills would be most welcome. · someone who has experience in HR and personnel management. Again a professional qualification would be ideal alongside wide practical experience to advise on issues in the charity. Enthusiasm for boating and benefits of engaging with the River Thames would be a bonus.
