School holidays cookery class volunteer
Cooking Up
Helping children and young people learn how to cook during school holidays.
At Cooking Up we aim to advance the health and wellbeing of people facing challenging circumstances in London Borough of Richmond by enabling them to cook healthy, tasty food for themselves and their families. We are looking for people who would be available to volunteer during school holidays; half terms and Easter Holidays to help out with the children's' classes. As those classes are only run during school holidays. The commitment would be 3 hours one day during the half term week, each half term. As a volunteer for Cooking Up you will be responsible for supporting children and young people often with additional needs (10 years plus) during the cookery lessons and helping to set up and clean up after each session.

People Skills
An interest in cooking and eating healthy food would be helpful. But you don't need to be a great cook. Enthusiasm and willingness to help others are the main qualities we're looking for.
You will have fun and meet like minded volunteers while helping children and young people learn basic cooking skills which they can build on.
One or two days during each half term. It will be 3 hours during lunch time.
