As a Collections Volunteer, you’ll work behind the scenes at the museum, supporting the Curator & Project Manager caring for and documenting the collection. Main tasks: • Contributing to the museum’s inventory to maintain an accurate record of all objects • Packing, labelling and marking objects • Digitising and photographing objects This role is ideal for people who: • Have an interest in industrial history • Have good attention to detail • Are comfortable using Excel • Enjoy working as part of a small team

In joining us, you’ll become part of a friendly, dedicated volunteer team; you will develop and share skills and play a vital role in keeping our collection accessible and well cared for.
A typical day runs from 10:00 to 16:00 (5 hours volunteering plus a 1-hour lunch break) on Tuesdays or Thursdays
