The Welcomer is the first point of contact for guests arriving at Slade Welcome Centre. This role is vital in setting the tone for the guest’s entire experience, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and treated with dignity and compassion. As a Welcomer, you’ll greet each guest warmly, listen to their needs, and help triage them so they receive the right support. You’ll create a calm and supportive environment where guests feel safe and respected.

Play a central role in shaping a guest’s first experience of Greenwich Foodbank. Use and develop your interpersonal and communication skills in a meaningful setting. Join a supportive and welcoming team of volunteers and staff. Make a tangible difference to people in your local community. Gain experience in frontline support and triage, useful for a wide range of careers.
Thursdays, 9am-11.30am 2.5 hours per week (or joining a monthly rota) plus additional 10 hours over the year for meetings and training. We ask for a minimum of 6 months commitment.
