Event Volunteer
1. Parade Stewards : Support groups during parade and help flow of the parade. This is an essential role and we need all the support to make sure the parade looks and sounds amazing. High vis vests will be provided. When: 12.30pm-3.30pm- Briefing at 12.30pm on the day 2.Audience Engagement : Welcome our audience and help them to enjoy their experience. Talk to members of the public, directing them to activities, performances and info stall. Making sure audience is aware of the carnival programme. When (there are two slots for this role): 11am- 3pm /3pm to 7pm 3.Site Decoration : Help arts organisation TARU Arts make the main site look beautiful! Help the team to put up carnival decorations . This is an important role as it makes that extra difference if the site looks amazing! When: 9am-11.30am 4. Site Set up : Help the carnival team get everything set up for the event, help carrying equipment, arranging the site and supporting the stalls arrive. This is important as all hands on deck make the event start smoothly and on time. When: 9am-11.30am 5. Site Pack Down : Support TARU Arts team in packing down the event, making sure stalls pack down successfully and everyone leaves the site happy! This is an essential role as the event wouldn’t happen without a successful close down. When: 6pm-9pm 6. Info Tent : The info tent is the centre point of information for artists, staff and audience. Be the main face of carnival and welcome artists, give information to audience members. When (there are four slots for this role): 11am- 1pm /1pm to 3pm /3pm to 5pm /5pm to 7pm
