Finance Trustee / Treasurer

Purpose of the role: The Finance Trustee provides financial oversight and ensures the organisation manages its resources responsibly, sustainably, and in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities: • Provide oversight of the organisation’s financial position, budgets, and financial planning. • Review financial reports, accounts, cash flow, and reserves with the Board and CEO. • Ensure appropriate financial controls, policies, and processes are in place. • Support the Board in understanding financial risks and making informed decisions. • Work with the CEO and finance support to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Support preparation of annual accounts and statutory financial requirements. We are looking for a Finance Trustee who can provide financial oversight, guidance, and assurance to the Board, ensuring the organisation remains financially sustainable and well managed.

Essential skills and experience: • Experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial management. • Ability to understand and interpret financial reports, accounts, and budgets. • Understanding of financial governance and trustee responsibilities. • Ability to provide constructive challenge and support around financial decisions. • Experience monitoring financial risks, controls, and sustainability. • Good attention to detail and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
