Group Support Leader

Kent Association for the Blind

We are looking at enabling people with sight impairments who would like to go to events and venues but who do not want to join an established group, to be able to do so. Your role would be to help them facilitate this.

Detailed Description

We are looking for people interested in establishing a new initiative for young people. The successful candidate/s would be required to organise all aspects of evening/weekend activities for a group of sight-impaired people who aim meet monthly. The tasks will include liaison with the group to be able to meet their needs, to follow up their ideas, to research suitable events & venues, and to undertake risk assessments. Other tasks include communicating with group members, and accompanying the group or joining in with the activity.
