The OSO Arts Centre in Barnes, SW13, is seeking an experienced Fundraising Trustee to join our Board and help shape the next stage of our development. This is both a strategic and a hands-on role working with a dynamic and ambitious board and management team.
The OSO Arts Centre is a registered charity and one of South West London’s most vibrant community arts venues. Located in the heart of Barnes Village overlooking the Pond, we are a thriving fringe theatre, café and bar, presenting more than 200 shows a year to annual audiences of over 16,000, supported by a loyal and growing membership base. We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Trustee to join our Board and help shape the next stage of our development. This is an opportunity for someone who can bring strong fundraising insight, sound strategic judgement, and an active interest in helping a growing arts charity strengthen its income base. You may already have trustee experience, or you may be looking to bring your fundraising expertise into a first board role. We are particularly interested in people who understand how to identify income opportunities, strengthen fundraising strategy, and support an organisation to build confidence and momentum in this area.

• Provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge on fundraising activity and income development • Chair the Fundraising Committee and help ensure its work is focused, practical and effective • Advise the Board and management team on fundraising opportunities, priorities and approaches • Support the identification and development of new income streams, partnerships and donor opportunities • Contribute to key organisational events and help champion the OSO Arts Centre externally where appropriate
An opportunity to work in the Arts Sector helping to grow a popular local theatre and community hub that sits at the heart of the Barnes community. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic board of trustees who value initiative and collaborative working. We don't like too much formality; our culture is one of enjoying being in a creative space with many opportunities to socialise and enjoy a wide range of artistic output as well as making arts accessible to all parts of the community.
This is a voluntary trustee role. We anticipate an average commitment of around 20 hours per month. this includes chairing the Fundraising Committee, attending three Board meetings per year, supporting selected events, and providing occasional guidance to the management team.
