Join us in our valuable work within the community of Greenwich, helping ensure that people with learning disabilities are heard on matters that are important to them, receive the support and advice that is needed to improve their lives and learn to advocate for themselves. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your skills, and build a deeper understanding of the needs and priorities of our beneficiaries.
Administration
Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Organising & Planning
• Support with the different projects that we run • People’s Parliament; working with elected MPs to support with meetings and outreach events • Produce Easy Read documents such as agenda’s, meeting minutes, posters and other required information • Community 1:1 advocacy project; you will support staff and service users with drop-in groups and community enquiries • Outreach work to contact minority groups and advertise our work • Learn office skills; organisation, filing and computing • Support with updating website
• Exposure to a professional working environment • Opportunity to work alongside the AiG staff team and external professionals • Increased confidence in a workplace setting • Hands-on IT experience, access to training, and knowledge of working with people with learning disabilities • A reference following a commitment of 2–6 months • Opportunity to enhance your CV
