Frazzled Facilitator – Facilitate a Support Group in Greenwich
Frazzled
Could you facilitate support groups for Frazzled here in Greenwich? We are looking for volunteers with engaging interpersonal skills, an empathetic and inclusive communication style, good listening skills and passion.
What we do: Frazzled is a community based on the power of emotional openness. Founded by Ruby Wax in 2017, it’s a space where anyone can come and be listened to, or simply listen, without judgment or solutions. The simple act of opening up has the power to help not just the person sharing, but those we share with. This is a place where attendees can simply exhale and feel less alone in their feelings. Our sessions last just over an hour, with the session facilitator opening the session with a breathing exercise before attendees are invited to share how they’re feeling and what’s been on their mind. We run sessions both online in face to face groups located around the country. We are delighted to be opening a group in Greenwich and we would love for you to join us. How you can help: We are looking for new Frazzled Facilitators with engaging interpersonal skills, an empathetic and inclusive communication style, good listening skills and the passion and enthusiasm to run in-person Frazzled sessions here in Greenwich. An ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgement and emotional intelligence, a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality and a sense of humour. They are observant and competent in identifying potentially disruptive behaviours and have the confidence and ability to discreetly intervene if necessary to disperse them. Training, feedback, and support will be provided by our team to help you facilitate your sessions. We are incredibly proud of the volunteer community who make Frazzled happen. We would love for you to join us to bring the power of sharing, emotional openess, and human connection to support the community here at Greenwich. We will be reviewing applications as they are received so early applications are strongly encouraged. We have listed below the essential and desirable qualities that we are looking for in our Facilitators. The qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and personal qualities outlined here provide a summary of what is required to carry out this role effectively. They also form the basis on which a decision to appoint Facilitators will be made. Please provide evidence of these criteria in your application. To fully understand the role and what we do, we would also encourage you to attend at least two meetings online before applying as this is essential to show the sort of support that you will be providing to attendees.
