Detailed Description

This role is for being a Career Coach in 1:1s but once trained and onboarded, there will be other opportunities available to volunteers. PLEASE NOTE THAT MAJORITY OF OPPORTUNITIES ARE DURING THE WORKING DAY, IN LINE WITH PARTNER SCHOOL TIMETABLES. 1:1 support for Yrs 8-10 Delivered by motivated volunteers from the world of work who empower young people to develop their aspirations into informed change. We ask all our volunteers to demonstrate passion, positivity and commitment to improving social mobility for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We ask all our volunteers to demonstrate passion, positivity and commitment to improving social mobility for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We know how precious your time is and want to make the most of every hour you give us. We’ll help you to have the best possible impact for young people and get a great volunteering experience too. You don’t need to be career guidance guru, qualified life coach or employment expert to make a life-changing difference. Instead we value your life experience, your energy and insights and the connections you can make: the tools you’ll need to help connect, inspire and make change for young people starting out on their journey.

Time Commitment

We ask that volunteers commit to 4 or 5 2-hour sessions in a calendar year, or 10-15 hours in a calendar year.
