Support adults with learning disabilities to develop practical and creative skills in our dedicated woodwork space. Work on hands-on garden projects and help create useful items for our community garden and shop.
As a Woodwork Volunteer, you’ll be part of a creative and supportive team helping adults with learning disabilities build confidence and skills through hands-on projects. You’ll work alongside support workers and clients in our dedicated woodwork room, where we design and make a range of garden-related items. Past volunteer projects have included building plant stands, crafting bird and bat boxes, and repairing garden furniture. You can choose which projects to get involved in or even suggest new ones. Whether you’re experienced in woodwork or simply keen to learn and share time with others, you’ll find a welcoming space where your creativity and enthusiasm are valued. Breaks are shared with clients, and volunteers are encouraged to participate in the wider community garden life, including activities such as cooking, gardening, companion cycling, and park walks.
