BROS TC, one of London’s leading amateur musical theatre societies, based in the Barnes and Richmond area, is seeking a treasurer to work within a dedicated team of people who run the society. The Treasurer is responsible for all the financial aspects of the society, including advising the management committee on financial matters, preparing budgets for shows and managing the banking payments and income, working closely with the book keeper / preparer of accounts.

Work closely with the book keeper / preparer of accounts and liase with our Independent Examiner. Submission of annual returns for the Accounts and Gift aid. Suits someone interested in theatre with a couple of hours a week to spare plus a monthly meeting, first or second Monday of each month. Please note we are posting a separate role for the booking keeping and preparation of the numbers for the Financial Accounts. This role could also be done by the Treasurer if preferred by the incoming Treasurer, or performed as a separate role.

We are looking for someone with finance or business experience to manage the finances of our theatre group. Present the Societies’ month end financial position and key income and expenditure items to the Committee at monthly meetings. Budgeting for shows, liaising with the production managers on the finance aspects for each show. Review financial data using QuickBooks accounting software. Management of the banking, payments and revenues.
Be part of a fun vibrant team who will be responsible for delivering the 2026 productions and planning for 2027 and beyond
The day to day treasurer activities will take typically take about 3 hours per week, with less during quieter months and more at the start and end of each show, other events and at the end of the financial year. In addition attendance at the monthly BROS Committee meetings, on the first or second Monday of each month in the evening, normally held at a pub in Richmond.
