Support the Foodbank with various roles; kitchen, food bank volunteers and volunteer drivers
Storehouse Food Bank are looking for volunteers and we would be delighted to welcome you to be part of our friendly volunteering team. Our food bank has been running in Hackney since 2010. Volunteers are needed on Sundays from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm to help set up and serve food to anyone who enters through our doors needing food support when we open to the public at 12 pm. Volunteer drivers are also needed to collect food donations Sunday mornings from 8.30am and deliver to the hall for 10.30 am We will take you through our simple introduction and training when you arrive at 10.30 am before we open our food bank to the public on the day. Storehouse also offer volunteering opportunities for young people age 14-24 in supporting and assisting them with their Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Are you available to start volunteering this Sunday ? or any other Sunday ? If so, please contact us via Volunteer Centre Hackney and we will get back in touch with you. We are flexible and work around the availability of our volunteers, which, by having a WhatsApp volunteering group, helps us to know and plan in advance the dates they're available. 10.30am to 12.30pm on Sundays food bank volunteers are needed and volunteer food collection drivers from 9am Sundays. Volunteers will have the opportunity to join our volunteer whatsapp group and give us dates per month when they think they will be available to volunteer.
