Volunteer Gardener
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice
Our gardens are perfect for a refreshing break for our patients and visitors. To keep our gardens maintained we rely on the support of our wonderful Volunteer Gardeners, under guidance of the Head Gardener, for the benefit of all who are present in the hospice and the surrounding wildlife.
Our Volunteer Gardeners assist with tasks like: - Weeding - Planting - Pruning - Watering - Sweeping - General tidying and propagating/dividing.

Some gardening knowledge or experience is helpful but not essential, with a willingness to broaden this with guidance from the Head Gardener. An ability to use initiative and take directions as part of the gardening team. Reasonably physically fit and able to work independently. Able to work in a variety of weather conditions, within safe limits.

4 hours per week (or more if you have time!) on either Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays
