Detailed Description

Twickenham Sea Cadets was awarded the 2023 Canada Trophy, recognising us as the best Unit in the Sea Cadets, out of more than 450. We are seeking an organised and diligent volunteer to join our Board as Vice Chair (VC). We are a group of trustees who have run Twickenham Sea Cadets over the past 5-10 years. We have ambitious aims, with our major priority currently being to raise over £650,000 to deliver a refurbishment of our main building, alongside planning for the long-term future of the Unit and continuing to support our volunteer instructors to deliver a world-class Cadet Experience. The VC's primary role is to support the UMT Chair and other Trustees to manage an effective and successful Sea Cadet unit and provide a safe, maintained, and serviced unit. The VC’s secondary role is to be accountable to the Unit Chair and Trustees and, when needed, deputise for the Chairperson. You’d be great in this role if you’re proactive, enjoy getting things done, and want to shape a role that plays a significant part in leading our Charity to future success.
