The aim of the role is to help move and deliver larger donated items to families in need. This role involves lifting and transporting bulkier items such as cots, buggies, highchairs, and other essential baby equipment.
The aim of the role is to help move and deliver larger donated items to families in need. This role involves lifting and transporting bulkier items such as cots, buggies, highchairs, and other essential baby equipment. Main Tasks With the support of the Management Team, you will: Deliver essential items to clients, this may include bulkier items such as cots/cot beds. Move stock between storage facilities. Collect donations from individuals or drop off points locally. Useful skills, attitudes and experience Comfortable with manual handling. enjoy working as part of a team to make a real difference in the local community. Own car desirable but not essential. Enthusiastic, positive, empathetic, personable, non-judgemental and objective. Understands and respects the importance of strict confidentiality. Able to use initiative and work independently, with support from Team BBB. Commitment to BBB’s aims and the longer-term value to the community of supporting parents living in poverty. Time commitment The time commitment is very flexible. Volunteers will be added to a contact list of helpers who can be called upon by our Family Liaison Volunteers (FLVs) when additional support is needed with collections, deliveries, or stock movements. You can choose when you are available to help.
