Local Volunteer Team Member

Young Enterprise London

Support Young Enterprise locally by helping organise events, recruit volunteers, and represent the charity in your community. This varied role involves 2–3 hours a week and includes both online and face-to-face activities. You'll work with staff and volunteers to deliver impactful programmes that help young people build confidence, skills, and real-world experience.

Detailed Description

Local Volunteer Team Members play a key role to help us provide localised support for young people to get the very best they can from their Young Enterprise experience. They help us to extend our reach and impact for young people within local communities across England and Wales. The activities of a local volunteer team are varied, and may include: * Local fundraising activities and events * Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of local volunteers, including Business Volunteers, Class Mentors and Competition Judges * Representing Young Enterprise within the local community * Organising trade fairs, competitions and others events to support the delivery of our financial and enterprise education programmes * Supporting the Team and local Educational Partnerships Manager to Work to develop an achievable and impactful annual activity plan * Attending meetings on a regular basis to keep activity on track meetings This is a varied role and will likely involve both face-to-face and online meetings and events that will be in locations across your local community. Local Volunteer Team Members generally spend 2-3 hours per week in this role.

A Local Volunteer Team Member with Young Enterprise should be enthusiastic, dependable, and comfortable engaging with others both online and in person. While no formal qualifications are required, it’s important that volunteers can communicate clearly, stay organised, and work well as part of a team. Confidence using email and basic digital tools is helpful, as is a proactive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting young people. Volunteers should be reliable and consistent, especially when helping to plan or deliver local activities. All volunteers are required to complete safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS check before starting.
