This flexible role supports the wide range of groups and activities at Greenwood Community Centre. Volunteers provide a warm welcome, help with set-up and refreshments, and assist group leaders with practical tasks. You choose the activities you’d like to support — from dementia-friendly groups like Singing for the Brain, to family sessions like TrainMaster, to social groups such as the Men’s and Women’s Groups. Volunteers can also help families host and run children’s birthday parties at the Centre — setting up tables and chairs, welcoming guests, or lending a hand with games and activities. The role is completely tailored to your availability, interests, and preferred times.

No formal skills are required. A friendly nature and willingness to support different groups and activities is all that’s needed
