Detailed Description

We are looking for volunteers to join our committee. The Committee is responsible for running the charity. Committee members assist with this. The Friends of Marble Hill (FoMH) a small local charity that supports the English Heritage Marble Hill House and Park operation. We seek to connect the local community with English Heritage so that Marble Hill is valued and protected and provide an independent communication channel for users of Marble Hill independently of English Heritage. Working with English Heritage staff and volunteers at Marble Hill we run events, including a successful annual dog show for park dog walkers, have a popular newsletter, and promote interest in the House, it’s previous occupants and the Park. The house was built by Henrietta Howard, a strong and resourceful woman in an 18c man’s world, Henrietta became mistress to George II, thus securing her future and leaving us this beautiful house and park. Our website has a wealth of information about Marble Hill. All you is need is an interest in Marble Hill House and gardens.
