Supervising Duke of Edinburgh students for 2 hours on a Saturday
Do you have an interest in food growing and working with young people? We are looking for someone to join our team of core volunteers. This specific role is for someone to support the Duke of Edinburgh students at our Saturday volunteering sessions. Tasks are set in advance by the Project Co-ordinator, and your role would be to lead the group of students in completing the tasks; organising, supporting and motivating them as needed. You would be sharing this role with another volunteer, and so would usually be attending every second Saturday (term-time only). The sessions are 2 hours long. Experience of gardening and working with young people is not essential, but you will need to feel reasonably confident in both areas. Support and guidance will be provided. This role requires a DBS check, which will be arranged by Barnes Common.
