Volunteer to provide first aid and healthcare at events as an Emergency Responder

Detailed Description

Volunteer as an Emergency Responder for St John Ambulance and provide first aid and care to those in needs at events in Bromley and across London including stadiums, parades, marathons, fetes, and fayres making our community a better place to live. You will also undertake fundraising to support our work and deliver first aid training to increase knowledge of lifesaving skills in the community. Find out more and apply at https://tinyurl.com/bdf5tj35 (copy and past link into search bar) To maintain your skills you will need to attend regular meetings which currently meet at the Orpington Sea Cadet Building. There are also plenty of opportunities to advance early in your journey with St John Ambulance with leadership roles, becoming a trainer, driver or event manager. You will need to attend a selection day on the 28 March in Farringdon and all days of your training course: - Option 1: 13-14 June; 27-28 June, 11-12 July 2026, or - Option 2: 20-21 June; 4-5, 18-19 July We look forward to you joining our team!

Time Commitment

At least 150 hours per year: - 100 hours per year providing first aid at events; - Attendance at regular CPD meetings - Initial training over 6 days across three weekends plus online learning - Undertaking fundraising and providing training in first aid
