Detailed Description

Spectrum Colour Walk The Spectrum Colour Walk is our in-person event for our flagship fundraising campaign World Autism Acceptance Month. It is a 5km walk around Battersea Park, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our fundraising event and represent the National Autistic Society. Spectrum Run 10k The Spectrum Run 10k is a brand-new event for 2026. It is a 10km run around Battersea Park, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our fundraising event and represent the National Autistic Society. Available from 19/04/2026, 08:00 – 15:30 Timings can be flexible and we can work with you to make sure that the timings work best with your own schedule You can choose to volunteer in the morning, afternoon or for the entire duration. The run volunteer roles will be from 08:00 and the walk volunteer roles will be from 10:30 When you complete the application form we will ask which event you would like to volunteer at. What you will be doing Helping with registration and directing people Helping with selling small merchandise items. Acting as an event guide – greeting walkers, answering questions and helping at the Event Village Marshalling the walk – assisting the Events team, keeping people safe and happy It is preferable you can do any/several of these roles. We will always try and accommodate your preference if you are autistic or require other accommodations

Along with good communication and interpersonal skills, we ask that you are: Able to be outside for the duration of the day. Flexible with tasks being asked of you. Enthusiastic and supportive with our walkers and runners Able to take direction. Able to direct supporters to staff if needed
