Essential to have strong people skills, and be able to provide a strategic direction and motivation so that our charity can operate effectively whilst relying on volunteer resources. Highly desirable to have experience of growing the membership of a charity (or similar small organisation). In particular, we are seeking to deepen and widen our membership to that it fully reflects the diversity of those living, working and visiting Kew.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to give back to the community, helping us to run events and influence important decisions that affect the lives and wellbeing of people of all ages - our green spaces, environment, planning decisions and perhaps most importantly connecting our community (34% of residents in Kew, of all ages, live on their own). The role would suit an early retiree, who is keen to maintain their skills and gain wider experiences. We can offer a supportive, enjoyable and social environment to work in.
