As a Volunteer Food Hub Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Food Hub. This position involves a range of tasks from organising food donations to assisting with distribution. We need someone who can easily commute to Hackney and is available to help on a regular basis.

Organising & Planning
Key Responsibilities: - Food Sorting and Organisation: - Receive, sort, and organise food donations. - Ensure food items are stored correctly and safely. - Food Distribution: - Assist in preparing food parcels for distribution. - Help with the distribution of food to families and individuals in need. - Inventory Management: - Maintain accurate records of food inventory. - Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the team leader. - Customer Service: - Greet and assist beneficiaries of the Food Hub with respect and compassion. - Address any questions or concerns from beneficiaries. - Hygiene and Safety: - Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment. - Regularly clean and sanitise work areas.
