Steady Roots is a nurturing, non-clinical support programme for young people aged 13–18 who have completed therapy and are ready to take the next steps in their journey. Through activities and meaningful relationships, Steady Roots empowers young people to: Explore passions and discover new interests Build connections Set goals and celebrate progress By promoting the use of local resources, we help them grow strong support networks and feel more rooted in their communities.
Offer one to one support on a weekly basis. With the support from staff, identify strengths, interests and need. Create weekly plans based on goals set by the young person. Provide information and support to access activities, groups and resources. Build relationships with organisations and identify resources within the community. Liaise with staff, parents/carers and other professional.. Maintain accurate records of weekly activities. Participate in all mandatory training and supervision. Adhere to all trust policies and procedures including Data Protection and Safeguarding.

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) A commitment of 3-4 hours a week for at least 6 months. 1+ year experience working or volunteering with children or young people. Able to listen, empathise, and respond supportively to young people and their families. Able to maintain clear and accurate written records of sessions. Willing to participate in activities and confident navigating community resources to support young people. Reliable, consistent and committed to making a difference.
