Family Support Worker

We are looking for individuals who can support our families when they visit our Hub.
As a Volunteer family support worker, you will help with greeting and supporting visiting families at our hub. Your contribution will play a key role in making families feel welcomed, heard and supported. Key Responsibilities: • Provide a warm welcome for families coming to the Hub • Offer a listening ear when required • Providing visitors with refreshments • Helping keeping the hub tidy and welcoming for all our visitors

• Good communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, understanding and empathy • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality • An understanding of mental health • Ability and willingness to undertake safeguarding training
This role provides the opportunity to help The Purple Elephant Project achieve its objectives and make a big difference to the happiness of children and their families who need additional support. The Purple Elephant Project is easily accessible by several local bus routes: H22, 281, 481, 110 Get off at Kneller Road (Stop S) – this is the nearest bus stop and just a short 4-minute walk away. Nearby landmark: We’re close to Kneller Gardens and Twickenham Stadium, making it easy to find your way. By train: The nearest station is Twickenham Station. From there, take the 281 bus towards Hounslow and get off at Kneller Road (Stop S).
