Day Centre Host to support people with MS at our Centre in Bromley. The role involves lots of personal interaction and an opportunity for you to make a difference by ensuring our Centre Users have a memorable visit with us. You will be one of a small team of Volunteers so you will be well supported. We are all Volunteers here at Northlands and we are keen to welcome new volunteers bringing fresh ideas to make user visits memorable.
We are recruiting a Day Centre Volunteer Host for the MS Support centre at Northlands in Bromley, Kent. You will be joining an existing and friendly team of volunteers running and supporting the services of Northlands which is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The role involves welcoming Centre Users to Northlands and providing support to ensure they have a memorable day with us. This could range from simply chatting with them, making teas and coffees, laying up tables for lunch and assisting in serving the lunches, and generally ensuring they are comfortable and have all they need. It could involve organising scrabble or domino games which they need assistance with to play or perhaps runing a quiz. With some of our visitors this is the only day they will leave their homes so they look forward to an enjoyable day. No experience is necessary as training will be provided but a welcoming and cheerful outlook is essential as is in working co-operatively within a small team of volunteers.

This is an on-going opportunity and the role would involve attendance on a Thursday 10-14.30 although possibility of variation in these hours by arrangement.
