Help shape a positive volunteer experience at The Purple Elephant Project! As Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll support recruitment, induction, training, and communication to ensure volunteers feel confident, equipped, and valued. We are actively working to increase the number of volunteers at The Purple Elephant Project and our aims are to make sure they are clear about their role, are equipped to carry this out, and feel valued for the support they provide. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will be making sure we achieve these aims by: • Supporting all stages of the recruitment process for new volunteers • Setting up and monitoring the induction process for volunteers • Acting as key contact for all volunteers to handle queries • Supporting the Centre Manager to make sure volunteers are trained effectively and receive regular feedback

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and has a genuine interest in supporting people. You’ll need good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage admin tasks confidently, and be comfortable using email and basic IT systems. Experience with coordinating staff or volunteers is helpful. Most importantly, you should be approachable, reliable, and able to motivate and support others effectively.
