Balance (support) CIO
Befriending adults with learning disabilities and enabling them to live independently with your support
We are looking for volunteers who are keen, creative, and fun and who will support adults with learning disabilities take part in activities in the community that they (and hopefully you) are passionate about. E.g. bowling, swimming, theatre, cinema, walking and shopping.

- To accompany clients to and take part in organised group activities or one to one that they have chosen or are part of their support plan - To talk to clients about activities and generate new ideas for activities for them - To act appropriately and go with the pace of service users you are working with, check you have understood them and be creative about what you do. - To record all activities completed with the service users as part of handover - To work within our policies and procedures to always ensure you and their safety We need people who are passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities to gain independence in their day-to-day lives.
An inclusive and friendly team to work as part of. Getting out in the local community and seeing more of the borough! Making friends with our lovely clients.
A few hours per week. Each client has different needs so we can be very flexible with the days and times that you are able to support us!
