We run a number of Pamper Days throughout the year and we are looking for Complementary Therapists to assist the team in providing treatments for our supported and bereaved Mums. Pamper Days usually run on a weekday Monday – Thursday (some Saturdays) between the hours of 0900 -1600
We run a number of Pamper Days throughout the year and we are looking for Complementary Therapists to assist the team in providing treatments for our supported and bereaved Mums. Pamper Days usually run on a weekday Monday – Thursday (some Saturdays) between the hours of 0900 -1600 Duties and responsibilities: Renew membership of appropriate professional body annually To competently provide the therapy required for the family member Be aware of contra-indications and cautions to treatment in relation to the therapy they practice To assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the family member and to adapt treatments to ensure this. To ensure consultation forms are completed and consent signed at treatments To provide feedback as appropriate and report any adverse effects immediately to the Complementary Therapy Coordinator, or in her absence, the Head of the Family Support Service. Have a desire to help people, be able to put the clients at ease, have excellent listening and communication skills and show understanding and sensitivity. Respect of the client’s privacy is of utmost importance, and compliance with all the relevant SSCH polices, particularly that of Confidentiality and Boundaries. Enhanced DBS checked – all Volunteer roles at our hospices require us to carry out a DBS check at the appropriate level – this is a simple online procedure

People Skills
Hold a recognised qualification in the relevant therapy and full insurance A minimum two year’s post-qualification experience. Maintain skills with CPD in accordance with the professional body’s code of practice Someone who is committed, reliable and has a genuine desire to help people. Competent IT skills are also essential for this role as input of electronic database notes will be required.
