Fundraising Officer-Trustee Volunteer

The volunteer Fundraising Officer-Trustee will oversee the development of fundraising teams and structures, and the recruitment of Co-ordinators, and inform and influence decisions on the charity’s Management Committee. We aim to see the charity develop further, and need somebody who, when finding problems, will oversee the development and implementation of realistic solutions.

Detailed Description

We seek a volunteer Fundraising Officer, with financial experience, to oversee teams that we are creating to source large funding bids, so important to help sustain and develop the No Panic charity. The Fundraising Officer will oversee the development of fundraising teams and structures, and the recruitment of team Co-ordinators. We aim to see the charity develop further, and need somebody who, when finding problems, will oversee the development and implementation of realistic solutions. This is a Trustee role. All our Trustees are volunteers. The Fundraising Officer will inform and influence discussions at the Management Committee, share realistic strategic insight with Trustees and Co-ordinators, and chair the Fundraising Sub-committee. No Panic is a national charity. Our helpline and other core services have supported people for decades, helping them to get their anxiety under control. We aim to reach more people, and to become more sustainable. To achieve these aims, we need volunteers to lead our efforts to secure more funding. Although a national charity, we need to continue developing, so we seek to recruit volunteers whose skills and experience will inform our decisions.

Why these skills are required

Desirable skills would be a background in finance and fundraising, experience of working as a charity trustee, a good team worker, the ability to develop teams and structures, experience of chairing a committee, patience and tolerance to work to fix problems rather than walking away. A CV and references will be required.
