Detailed Description

Spring Social SuperMarket (Triple’S) - A SHOP FOR FOOD, FRIENDS AND ADVICE Our Social Supermarket caters for those who are struggling with rising costs, want to purchase culturally appropriate food at reasonable prices. Responsibiities; Help customers with their food shopping needs, Process Payments Keep the supermarket neat and presentable. Restock the shelves Checking customers in and out Working on a point-of-sale system and closing the till at the end of the shift Assist customers with their shopping Receiving and unpacking deliveries A DBS check will be required

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Cleaning & Tidying, Organising & Planning

Why these skills are required

Capable, calm (tolerant/patient) and thorough - Good organisational skills - Ability to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week - Ability to commit a minimum of three months (ideally longer) - Sense of humour and perspective - Ability to encourage and support children and vulnerable adults - Ability to communicate effectively - Able to work as part of a small diverse team - Ability to maintain confidentiality - A willingness to learn and show initiative - Some roles may require a DBS check which SCH will carry out on your behalf

Time Commitment

Time: 9:00a.m.–3:00p.m. Two shifts,: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m and 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ( you are welcome to do more than one shift)
