CASPA

Working under the supervision of the Chair of Trustees, CASPA trustees are responsible for ensuring CASPA fulfils its charitable objectives and complies with the terms set out in the CIO’s constitution. This involves Board involvement, Charity finances and risk management, Support and provide advice on CASPA’s purpose, vision, goals and activities. Provide strategic direction to the CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT), Review relevant policies that affect the CIO

Detailed Description

CASPA is a passionate local charity that encourages autistic pride, self-advocacy, life skills and safe, inclusive community connections. We aim to build a society in which autistic people feel understood and empowered to be their full self and live their best life. We are inviting new trustees to join our board and support CASPA’s strategic plans to expand our services and strengthen autism accessibility in all areas of our work. We aim to recruit up to 9 new trustees over the next 2 years with a background in HR, finance, fundraising, safeguarding, business development, marketing, social care or law. Previous trustee experience is not essential. Training and support will be provided. We are also keen to attract candidates with lived experience of autistic neurodiversity. Time Commitment

7 Board meetings per year including Annual General Meeting Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term of offi ce, renewal for 2 further terms to a maximum of 9 years.
