Volunteer Mentor
Volunteering Matters
Support a young person as they leave the care of the LA and start their journey in the community. You will support them with self-confidence, language skills (many of our young people have English as a second language) and getting into work and / or training opportunities.
Volunteers aged 40 years plus are recruited to meet with a care-experienced young person each week to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each young person. Volunteers support where they can to help these young care leavers find their feet and reach their full potential. All volunteers are given full support and training throughout their time on the project.
