GoodGym is no ordinary gym. As a member of GoodGym's TaskForce you could enable hundreds of hours of voluntary support to charities and community organisations you care about: organising sessions and inspiring loads of people into community action.
Be a force for good in your local area as a member of GoodGym’s TaskForce. What is GoodGym? GoodGym is no ordinary gym. We are a community of walkers, runners and cyclists who get fitter by doing good; We support community projects with short, fun, physical tasks that benefit local people. We currently have groups based in Penge, Bromley and Mottingham but GoodGym sessions can happen anywhere within the borough. You can sign up as a GoodGymer through the GoodGym website, where you can find out about and sign up to sessions. What is TaskForce? TaskForce are GoodGymers who go the extra mile. By working with community projects you can bring a team who can complete practical tasks in no time. Get help for the projects you care about Enable hundreds of people to volunteer on issues you care about, be that food poverty, the environment, or community projects. Learn new skills Learn important transferable skills including community building, tech, and volunteer management. Build your CV and connect with many projects and organisations. Build your community Be part of a group of positive people who build community and get things done. Being TaskForce means taking the initiative to bring people together, get volunteers to where they are needed and to celebrate success. As a TaskForce member you can: * Organise and support sessions helping community projects. * Welcome and invite new people into GoodGym * Create reports for the website, social media and press. * Build relationships with projects and community groups. * Arrange social events and collaborations Once you’re trained, we ask that TaskForce contribute to their area once every two months, either by organising a session or by doing one of the other things listed above. GoodGym can fit around your schedule. Most sessions happen outside working hours. What you'll make happen You’ll enable hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of support for projects you care about, this might be * Shovelling compost in a school allotment to enable children to grow food * Sorting donations at a food bank to make sure food can be distributed to those who need it * Planting trees in a park to increase green space and biodiversity

TaskForce is a very simple but fulfilling role. No specific skills are required - you just need enthusiasm to make a difference! Full training is provided. You will learn about GoodGym through some online modules and then join a fun and interactive video call with new GoodGym TaskForce members from across the country.
The GoodGym central team provides inspiring training. And you will also receive a free GoodGym t-shirt!
Once you’re trained, we ask that TaskForce contribute to their area once every two months, either by organising a session or by doing one of the other things listed above. GoodGym can fit around your schedule. Most sessions happen outside working hours.
