South East London Mind

South East London Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia in their local communities to improve their quality of life. We are seeking to add to the expertise of our experienced, professional Board of Trustees.

Detailed Description

- Voluntary (expenses paid) - Approximately 4-8 hours per month - Board Meetings take place in London Bridge. Most sub-committee meetings take place virtually via Video Conference South East London (SEL) Mind was formed through the merger of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind and Lambeth & Southwark Mind in January 2024. We are a highly regarded, innovative local charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia in their local communities to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of £8m, 250 staff and over 200 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network. We are seeking to add to the expertise of our experienced, professional Board of Trustees. All our Trustees need excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, strategic vision and good, independent judgement. In this recruitment, we are particularly seeking people with experience in one or more of the following areas: - Legal - Fundraising - Marketing and Communications - IT/Facilities/Property management - Lived experience that will bring further diversity to the Board Inclusion is one of our core values and we see great benefits in having a diverse Board.
